Join our application engineering team and have fun discovering the technology limits. You have overall responsibility of creating technology demo, feasibility studies and developing application for specific customer projects. The Application Engineer interacts with customers and the project team in regards to demonstrations, requirements documentation, and solution development, through final system acceptance: bring your crazy ideas and dive into the technical world in order to make our customers happy.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

To perform engineering tasks under the guidance of senior engineers and managers

• Conducting a project feasibility analysis, including carrying out the necessary tests and engineering trials for project proposals

• Cooperation in creating a system definition, its configuration, including configuring vision systems, image analysis algorithms and programming of the acquisition plan from initial feasibility to final system approval

• Preparation and implementation of an engineering test plan for the developed solutions

• Demonstration of technology at conferences, fairs, shows, meetings with clients and internal team meetings

• Collecting requirements and application documentation – developing a requirements document together with potential customers; cooperation with internal and external partners to develop solutions compliant with the requirements

• Providing support after presenting the offer – contact with the client to answer questions and doubts, redesign the solution if necessary

• Providing knowledge about the application for the necessary after-sales activities related to the project – ongoing customer support, system configuration at the customer’s site, training and system support

Working Conditions and Special Demands:

  • Quick hands on learner with new software & hardware platforms
  • Willing to travel as necessary to support the business objectives
  • Ability to write clear and concise technical reports
  • Ability to learn and demonstrate system functionality and capabilities
  • Ability to document customer requirements forming the basis of a contractual scope of work
  • Ability to perform in a Teaching/Trainer capacity during technology demonstrations and customer meetings


Experience and Education Requirements:

  • Higher technical education, BS/BA or MS in Optical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Applied Physics or equivalent
  • Computer programming experience (python preferred)
  • Professional experience in optics/imaging, X-ray/CT, image processing, mechanical design, manufacturing & assembly and/or computer programming is welcome but not required
  • Photography or imaging experience preferred
